S Rank Postion Trial #2 [Private: Fujin and Chao-Li Xin]

Post by Fūjin on Mon Oct 19, 2015 9:44 pm

Fūjin sat at his desk pouring a cup of green tea into the two cups that formed the kyusu tea set along with the teapot in his hands; he remained completely quite allowing the sound of the tea filling the cups echo through out his apprartment like office at the top pf the guild hall before sitting down in his seat looking at the young man who sat across from as the young guild master began to sip his tea after blowing on it causing the steam raising off it to dance in the air. He smiled at the young man who has been one of his guild's first members and has been...kinda at his side ever since; Fūjin jestered for him to drink the tea he had pored for him. Fūjin wasn't quite sure if the guild member in front of him was a tea drinker, it had been a while since the two had seen each other thanks to the war.
Currently Dragon Heart was still spread all over Fiore helping rebuilding the towns and cities that were destoried from the war, all the while looking for missing people withen the aftermath that country. The young guild master gasped for air after a long sip before placing the tea back down on his desk "So..." He sat up in his chair still attempting to smile warmly, though failing as he stopped his rambling "Chao-Li Xin, If my memory serves me well I gave you free rain during the war. I assume you are here today to give me a report on your actions."

You would be correct, master Fujin. Chao-Li's voice was etched with respect for the leader of his guild, Dragon Heart. He rarely displayed this reverence to anyone else- Chao did not deem many others to be worth his time or attention. He sipped his tea slowly, savoring the flavors caressing his tongue, before stating his contribution to the war effort against Behemoth.

While the war kept the front lines busy, I undertook mercenary and bounty-hunting jobs targeting high-ranking generals of Behemoth. I'm aware of our anti-murder policy, so I incapacitated my targets and turned them in to the authoritiess. Furthermore, I helped aid in the arrest effort of Behemoth's master, helping to end the war in the favor of Dragon Heart.

He smiled somewhat as he spoke his next words.

I'm quite glad that we had won the war; it was a tremendous victory on our side, though the expense in terms of property and land damage has been rather extensive. As such, I've been responding to requests regarding the restoration of damages caused in major cities. Furthermore I've also been tending to the ill and injured- but I shan't gloat about my accomplishments.

As he spoke these next words he chuckled some, and smiled- a rare sight to see.

This war has taken me out of a lot of tournaments and televised fights- I sacrificed a lot to help us win, you know.

Fūjin watched the young man as he spoke, not lifting his eyes away from their body. The guild master was giving him his complete attention while only slightly nodding slightly at certian points as he listened to Chao-Li's tale being able to tell that his voice carried a tone of respect that he only heard from the young man in red in their private conversations or reports such as this. As through the short time he had been with the guild before the war occured, Fūjin had clearly noticed that Chao-Li rarely displayed this respect to anyone else. He began to sip his tea slowly once again he listened to his contribution to the war between the Magic Council and the guild once known as Nox Animus while they protected the civilans from cross fire, colateral damage and a personal effort against Behemoth. Which Fūjin ended by destorying the dark guild's guild hall.
"I see and don't get me wrong Chao-li, the guild and myself are personally thankful for your efforts in the war. Once the dust of this aftermath we are currently living has settle to a point where we all live comfortably again you will by all means be able to take part in your tournaments and televised fights once more."
The young guild master explained while topping up his cup of tea offering to do the same for Chao-li "I was well aware of your efforts in the aid of the arrest of Behemoth's master, after all I was there to flush him out of their guild hall and i thank you for following the guild's anti-murder policy. As for your work on taking down their high-ranking generals could you possibly give me more information on one of these jobs I wish to know more information if you dont mind." He leaned back in his chair once the tea was poured, brining his legs up to cross them as he attempted to smile but only ended up smirking "After all it sound like you have quite the tale to tell."

Typically Chao-Li did not like being questioned; he felt that being asked about his achievements insinuated that he was being doubted. However, this was an exception. He knew that he would be able to gain some more of his master's respect here by illustrating his immense victories against the leaders of the Behemoth guild. Therefore, he addressed the request with an eager grin, and began to speak. Fujin had asked for information regarding one job- however, there were so many that he couldn't just talk about one.

It'd be hard to talk about only one of the jobs- after all, with each contract I completed I felt a sense of happiness and pride in myself that I rarely ever feel. If you don't mind- I'd like to speak about my experience as a whole. Anyhow, not only are Behemoth's elite powerful- they are incredibly intelligent, as well. I was able to defeat most of them in battle, although I waited to be attacked or challenged before engaging in combat to display chivalry and honor the guild. While I could overpower a few with raw magic strength, a couple of my enemies drew out more strategic victories. One of the generals was immune to direct damage from my spells; thus, I used my magic to strike him by attacking objects near him and inflicting damage indirectly, and another could turn invisible at will; I had to resort to powerful Area of Effect magic to take him down a notch.

    He paused for effect.

I would definitely say, however, that the Guild's Ace was the most challenging foe I faced- that fight was perhaps harder than our final battle with Behemoth's master. He toyed with my emotions and my psyche, trying to gain a mental advantage- but I reminded myself of the work I would be doing for Ðragon Heart, and I was able to push through and beat him into the next week. His magic was powerful- some variant of Shadow Magic, I believe- but I was able to put him away by blocking and tanking the damage he tried to deal and striking back with heavy attacks and spells. I was able to defeat him, and he commended me on the achievement.

It sounded as though Chao was bragging about his efforts. He had put in an extraordinary amount of work to defeat all those elites- he did feel it necessary for his struggles to be recognized. He took another sip of the hot tea, and crossed one leg over the other, smiling.
