    Death

Can your character die on this forum? yes he/she can. We here however understand that there are trolls who would kill for fun so we have very serious restrictions regarding death and this thread has been made so that you can continue to rp safely, for the most part.

    Rules

    1. Every death must have a purpose. Troll killing, or killing 1 or more people every two months is strictly forbidden, actually, unless there's a huge event with high likely hood of death, you should never go over 1 kill every 6 months. Basically don't try and kill people over OOC grudges or every staff member will be against you. That is not a good thing in case you didn't know.

    2. D-ranks are 'immune' to death. For the sole purpose fairness and the fact that nobody wants their character to die, especially so soon in the game. Only way for a D-rank to die is by choice.

    3. You can't be killed by an npc unless by choice.

    4. An Administrator may reverse a player kill if the 1st or 2nd rules were broken and/or the victim of death can provide a logical means of surviving what killed them.

    5. Continuing from rule 4 if either the 1st or 2nd rules are broken then you will receive a one day ban for a first offense, a second offense results in a 1 month ban and a drop in your characters' rank, a third offense is a permanent ban.

    AFTER YOUR BURIED

There are two circumstances in which your dead.

The first is if your were killed in plot or whatever the matter may be. You died and you didn't just kill yourself off. If this happens you get 25% of your total experience that you previously had for a new character. Based on your next app you can get even more of it back. You can get back a total of 80% of your previous character's maximum experience after death.

So if your character had 1,000,000 experience upon dying, you automatically get 250,000 EXP for your next character.

After your application for you new character is finished, you can get even more based on application quality and rp sample quality. The maximum total you can get is 550,000 from this application. 550,000 + 250,000 = 800,000 or 80%.

note: Your history will need to include how he got so strong to start out.

note: Don't make a new account. We can just replace your old name with a new name and save yourself some time.

If you killed your character off just because you didn't want to rp with him anymore. You get to start from scratch. That's all there is to it.

    My only issues:

    1. "Every death must have a purpose. Troll killing, or killing 1 or more people every two months is strictly forbidden, actually, unless there's a huge event with high likely hood of death, you should never go over 1 kill every 6 months. Only issue with this really is the 1 kill per 6 months. You said should though, so I think you were just putting a recommendation instead of a definite. I agree that the reason should be a valid IC reason as OOC reasons are completely irrelevant to me.

"Continuing from rule 4 if either the 1st or 2nd rules are broken then you will receive a one day ban for a first offense, a second offense results in a 1 month ban and a drop in your characters' rank, a third offense is a permanent ban."

That doesn't make sense to me. lol You can't technically force someone to die. I can't post and say: Dragon leaped forward and pierced his sword through Ean's skull, killing him. That's character control in a way. I would only agree to this if we had a rule saying if the opponent dropped below 10%, or 5%, whatever people think are fair, then the opponent may kill them as they are basically dead. Sort of like a finisher, you know? Because nobody will give permission for their character to be killed. So assuming this became a rule, they would know the rule that if you are in a PK topic and you drop below 10% health, your opponent may kill you next post. Just an idea.

Other than that everything else looks good!

Personally, in site events I think PK should be up to the player. With how chaotic events can be, even if it's just by accident or even a guildmate not being able to log on for a while for whatever reason, your character might end up fighting an unfair battle and that's going to discourage people from joining events, which is definitely not what we want. I know in most cases it will be fair to remove Player Permission, but events can sometimes be skewed depending on multiple factors. For this reason, I think it should be implemented during events.

I don't think you should be killed during events. Events are supposed to be fun. So an immune to death in events would be nice.

this is an after the facts only system. how/when/in what threads you die is irrelevant to these rules.

    now to dragons stuff:

1.) that isn't law its just a good number to follow to avoid regular pks and htat's an at most scenario. the short version of the rules are 'don't go on a killing spree you dick waffle'.

    2) this only means to include an intent to break the rules. If we find out you tried to break these rules we're coming down on you.
