First and foremost, it is no surprise that when most of you look at this, you may have not a clue about who I am, and the reason is simple: Since this site was moving onto another stage from BETA, I have not really been around. Why? University and work. What about it has made me so inactive? Well, everything, actually. Last semester, my whole week was packed, with only a small amount of time to study during the day, thus I had to oftentimes study overnight, when everyone would be asleep in my time zone. It was either that, or I would be at work, committing to approximately 9-hour shifts at a time. Why must I work in addition to being a university student? I have a project planned for a friend. He's currently in residence where I go to university, while resident buildings are only available for first-year students.
To prevent you from having to read a whole wall of text, allow me to further explain myself in a new paragraph. I met this great friend of mine in university, while his hometown is about two hours away from mine. He has nowhere to go as some unfortunate events happened in his life, and so I am saving money to buy my own residence to share with this friend. He is working twice the amount of hours I'm working as his program does not involve as much work as mine, but still, I'm trying to commit all I can to this project so I can be happy by the end of all this time, and commit to leisure such as role-playing, which unfortunately comes second to the offline life. While I mention all of this, I beg that my A-Rank status not be taken away from me. I will let everyone know if these troubles become too much for me to remain on this site, and will gladly hand this position over to someone more-deserving if this is the case. However, while I still have confidence that my time will not run out here, please allow me the opportunity to keep this applied rank.
Now, about the second semester. Currently, I am in my second term, and while I have big gaps between classes to do as I want, I also desire seeing the best marks I can achieve in my gradebook for a possible Honours Specialization in my program; the best kind of module you can acquire while in university. This actually leads me to promote my purpose for keeping my rank. I'll be honest with everyone and say that my time role-playing, in general, will most likely end in September. That is when my program will be at its highest point, and therefore most important. My motivation for obtaining the best grades then will be far greater than they are now- that I can assure you. When that time comes, I will set aside role-playing and any other form of online game aside, and work strictly on my future, academically-speaking. It's my dream to attend top-tier graduate schools, obtain my dream job (just like all of you), and complete this project of mine to assure my friend does not have to go through hell in finding a house on his own, while he has no other support than myself. I'm sorry for presenting a sad story for those of you who are having a good day. I promise to the utmost extent that I will be here when I have the time, and make you all proud. Thank you for being patient with me, reading this message, and considering what I'm going through. To this day, I'm still glad to be a part of this community, and look forward to meeting as many people as I possibly can.
