    Starkiller Empty Starkiller

Post by Reito Fri Jan 29, 2016 4:59 pm

    Starkiller
    Light, Bladed
    D
    Animus Sin
    Light
    No
    4k

    Description of Weapon

    Spoiler:
Starkiller, when inactive, consists only of a hilt, long enough to be held in two hands but short enough to be easily wielded with one, and ends in a short 'T'. When activated, a long blade of light blue energy emerges from the end of the hilt and two smaller blades from the bars of the 'T', forming a cross guard. The main blade is about three feet long, and each of the cross guard blades are about six inches long.

    Abilities of the Weapon

    • Activation (Active): Upon the press of a button, the blades are activated and will remain so until the button is pressed again.
    • Deflection (Passive): When activated, Starkiller can deflect any energy-based ranged attack equal to or below its rank. The deflected attack may be aimed in any direction as long as the user is competent enough.
    • Melting (Passive): When activated, Starkiller's three blades are hot enough to melt through metal, given enough time and pressure.

    Weaknesses of the Weapon

    • Starkiller is useless if it is not activated
    • Close Range attacks or other Ranged attacks not based on a form of energy (e.g. A water-based ranged spell) cannot be deflected
    • Enchanted metal or metal weapons above the weapon's rank cannot be melted

    Backstory of The Weapon

Cyril Romulus d'Blakc, also known as Reito Shin, hails from the future where magic technology has progressed significantly. In that period, magical weapons known as "Light Sabers" are common. Following that trend, Reito constructed his own Light Saber, modeling it after an old-fashioned sword with a cross-guard. The weapon is powered by a small Light Lacrima, as the name Light Saber indicates. However, when Reito was building his weapon, which he dubbed Starkiller, he dropped the Lacrima, cracking it significantly. This caused the power output to become volatile and unstable. This is what is responsible for the light-blade's crackling and wavering. Knowing that his weapon was now unstable, Reito built the weapon's cross-guards, or quillons, with a dual purpose. The first was to protect his hands from enemy blades, and the second was to act as vents, shunting excess power through them. Over time, Starkiller, with its crude and somewhat outdated construction, became Reito's iconic weapon.

Note: Starkiller will be light blue. I'm waiting on an edit of the first pic.

What does this do? Damage? If so, it needs a duration and cooldown
    • Deflection (Passive): When activated, Starkiller can deflect any energy-based ranged attack equal to or below its rank. The deflected attack may be aimed in any direction as long as the user is competent enough.
Since reflecting is blocking and attacking, the tier needs to be down one. So it can block up to C Rank and reflect the damage back at C Rank, and it is also allowed to absorb B Ranks. However, this passive will need a cooldown, otherwise it's OP.
    • Melting (Passive): When activated, Starkiller's three blades are hot enough to melt through metal, given enough time and pressure.
Please say that this can only melt up to B-Rank metal here. Also, list the duration needed (it can change according to the size/density of the metal).
