    [SPELLS AND HOW IT EFFECTS YOU]
    The power of a mage is dependent based on their spells and the power of these abilities. To judge how one stacks up to another mage, typically the one with the higher powered spells will have more power. This is not always the case, as a mage with numerous low ranked spells will be more versatile. Please keep in mind the power of a mage is not based on what spells they do have, but rather how they use them.

    [RUNICS AND HOW THEY AFFECT YOU]
    Runics are a nonphysical item that is with all mages. These magical stones hold in energy just as a Lacrima would. A mage can choose to save this energy for higher powered spells, or to convert them into lower ranked spells.

    D Ranked Spell : 5 Runics
    D+ Ranked Spell : 7 Runics
    C Ranked Spell : 10 Runics
    C+ Ranked Spell : 12 Runics
    B Ranked Spell : 20 Runics
    B+ Ranked Spell : 25 Runics
    A Ranked Spell : 30 Runics
    A+ Ranked Spell : 35 Runics
    S- Ranked Spell : 40 Runics
    S Ranked Spell : 75 Runics
    S+ Ranked Spell : 100 Runics
    S++ Ranked Spell : 250 Runics

    Can someone post the costs for each of the spell things? I just need a base... and I don't feel like digging in DEv.

    Call currency "Runics" to avoid confusion with "EXP" (Which ultimately led to me blowing up.. because misunderstanding suck)

    Or we could use the canon currency and call them Jewels.

    As easy as that would be...

    IC, (I'm really big on IC things) why would money make someone more powerful? It would be a second system. Sure someone could exchange these "Runics" for "Jewels" and Vice Versa. There's no avoiding that.

    But to make it cost Jewels, leads to the corruption of Naruto sites with "Starting Ryo" with the whole, "Use this to buy jutsu"

    And they buy some OP weapon instead.

    This bounds them to spend certain things in certain areas, much as a stat pool was..

    So either we're doing this, or we're staying with what's been posted.

    Oh. My bad, we should use Jewels and Exp.
    Maybe have it be like, even if you have enough Jewels for a certain level of item, you need to have a corresponding amount of Exp, as well.
    This way, they cannot buy some OP item that is leagues above what their character could actually wield? This would also place a higher degree of importance on improving one's Magic and Spells, and make it so that how much Exp you have determines what you can and cannot buy, as well as just how strong you are.

    I;m not using "EXP" as the name of the currency.

    You see EXP and you think ranks, which is where we're trying to get away from... hence the "Runi" name.

    Or Magic Tokens.... Enchanted Coins... something other than that name.

    Because a C Ranked Healing/Buff spell isn't = C-ranked Takeover spell.

    I dunno. I'll take it out if y'all wanted...

    I thought it was a cool idea.

    As far "Rank+"

    Think the same spell, but longer duration or shorter cooldown. It's a small boost.

    I just wanted to throw out my idea here, maybe you folks can use this, take what you want, take what you need.

    Beginning Stats

    I suggest we use the ulrp system, everyone starts with 100 hp and 100 mp but instead of giving them a set amount of starter spells why not give them a set amount of experience points like 1000 exp points. That way the player can liquidize their exp points to however wish. They can choose to spend it on HP, MP, or Spells. This method we can eliminate the generic character class. I believe this will help people focus on expanding their character rather than try to get a letter grade beside their name to show off how awesome they are.

    HP, MP prices

    HP: +10 Hp= 100 exp points, +50 hp= 150 exp points, +100= 200 exp points

    MP: +10 Hp= 100 exp points, +50 hp= 150 exp points, +100= 200 exp points

    I suggest that we also use an idea from a Naruto site, Another method to obtain these HP and MP boosts is by utilizing training threads.

    To obtain Hp or MP one must go through physical/magical training bellow. I'll list the word count and post count for each training thread.

    +10 hp or mp = 10 posts minimum, 150 words per post minimum

    +50 hp or mp= 15 posts minimum, 250 words per post minimum

    +100 hp or mp = 20 post minimum, 350 words per post minimum

    Spell prices

    1 D rank spell = 10 exp

    1 C rank spell = 25 exp

    1 B rank spell = 50 exp

    1 A rank spell = 100 exp

    1 S rank spell = 250 exp

    1 SS rank spell = 500 exp

    An alternate way to obtain spells is once again utilizing a training thread, where the player would rp out how they created or learned a spell.

    1 D rank spell = 10 posts minimum, 150 words per post minimum

    1 C rank spell = 15 posts minimum, 200 words per post minimum

    1 B rank spell = 20 posts minimum, 350 words per post minimum

    1 A rank spell = 25 posts minimum, 400 words per post minimum

    1 S rank spell = 30 posts minimum, 500 words per post minimum

    1 SS rank spell = 35 posts minimum, 1000 words per post minimum

    (I suggest that players cannot purchase any spells A rank or higher with starting exp points)

    Items prices

    1 D Rank Item = 250 jewels

    1 C Rank Item = 300 jewels

    1 B Rank Item = 350 jewels

    1 A Rank Item = 400 jewels

    1 S Rank Item = 450 jewels

    1 SS Rank Item = 500 jewels

    Another way one can obtain exp is buying experience Lacrima. EXP Lacrimas is pretty self explanatory lacrimas that give a player a certain amount of exp points.

    1 Small EXP Lacrima [+50 exp] = 150 jewels

    1 Medium EXP Lacrima [+100 exp] = 200 jewels

    1 Large EXP EXP Lacrima [+150 exp] = 250 jewels

    Mission Rewards

    1 D rank mission = 10 exp 50 jewels

    1 C rank mission = 25 exp 100 jewels

    1 B rank mission = 50 exp 150 jewels

    1 A rank mission = 100 exp 200 jewels

    1 S rank mission = 250 exp 400 jewels

    1 SS rank mission = 500 exp 500 jewels

    I'm with spinal on not having two forms of 'currency' although I think we should ultimately just use EXP as a hwole. Or just use Jewels as our EXP. Use jewels to upgrade your skills(what I'm working on) and acquire weapons, pets, whatever we have available. That will heavily influence what people use their jewels on because there's less to waste.

    Also, quit making Jewels acquirable every time you post unless you intend to have people keep track of their own. I always hated that.

    We where thinking of two currency.

    Jewels for purchasing items, pets, and physical things

    Runics for acquiring spells and upgrading hp and mp.

    The Jewels per post is going to change anyways, I just posted it.

    And I'm still going to keep it, so people who RP get a bonus...

    If their RP gets archived, it's already coded to take all the Jewels it gave them.




    And I'm going to steer clear of using "EXP" as a currency. It HAS to be a different name. Trying to explain that it's a currency and not a measure of power will get confusing to new players. I mean we could use "Experience Tokens" but that's too long of a name...

    code it so that only rp section posts can acquire jewel at the very least. That way spam doesn't reward anything and people can do it all they want.
