It was the last day of the year. A lot of rebuilding had been done since the war, but the city was still far from what it once was. Nevertheless there was more reason to celebrate than ever, for nothing reminds us to appreciate peace more than to have experienced war. The king had organized a firework spectacle around the Castle for all of Crocus to behold. Citizens were even welcomed in the balcony area surrounding the castle. When the clock struck twelve the fireworks were lit and the people of Crocus celebrated the coming of a new year, one of peace and no evil.
Clawford was part of the crowd that had gathered outside to watch the fireworks. It was a busy crowd so he had to make his way through the jungle of legs, in hopes of finding a statue or railing for him to climb upon. He could always cast Aera to get a perfect view of the show, but he didn’t want to block anyone’s view with large wings so he chose not to. That’s the kind of exceed he was, rather putting himself through hardships than being a bother to others. “Excuse me, coming through”
After making his way through the crowd he finally stumbled upon the curtain wall of the castle and started climbing it. As soon as he was high enough to see the fireworks he paused his climbing to admire it, his heart filling with emotions that the year was over.
