The Visitor [Private, Maverick, No PK]

Post by Selenia on Tue Jan 19, 2016 2:47 pm

Selenia was eating lunch, a salad with raspberry vinaigrette, on the second floor of the Fairy Tail guild, leaning against a pillar as she watched the guild from the corner of her eye. She wore her usual clothes, hair loose and dangling down by her ankles, her mind not really focused on anything. She had been considering going on a job earlier, just for some extra cash in case a rumor about a silver key in Hargeon proved to be true, but for now she was still undecided. For some reason, she was feeling pretty lazy today, not wanting to leave the guild. Perhaps it was because she couldn’t sleep last night, but in any case, she was probably going to leave the job for the next day. She had all the time in the world, as far as she was concerned. Today, she’d simply try to relax, rest, possibly get some of the paperwork done, and maybe even take a swim. She wasn’t really sure. As her mind wandered, she just knew that she wasn’t feeling up to anything too serious today, so a job was definitely out of the question. What she knew she did want now, however, after finishing her salad, was some dessert. She deserved it, right? She worked hard, and a small dessert wasn’t going to hurt anyone. Maybe some chocolate mousse, or perhaps a bit of ice cream?

“What do you think, Plue?” Selenia asked as she looked over to Plue who was sitting on the floor next to her, sucking on a lollipop. Lucky little Spirit, he had nothing in the world to worry him. Selenia, on the other hand, was so worried that she’d simply let everything drop for one day, instead relaxing here at the guild. Maybe after the dessert, a nap was in order…

“Puu-puun!” Plue replied, and that settled it. Selenia walked downstairs to the bar and hopped over the counter, finding some chocolate mousse and some ice cream and mixing them into a cup. Even if it was a little much, no one would know, right? Grabbing a spoon, she topped the dessert off with some whipped cream, a cherry, and some sprinkles before turning around and heading for a seat at the bar. She was going to enjoy this dessert, and then perhaps take a nap. Or maybe she’d just sleep for the rest of the day.

Sunlight trickling through the ever so emerald blades that danced in the treetops, a rustle, the sound of life transferring through the ever changing lush forest. One that held many tree's cliff's, lakes, under grove, and various wildlife. Upon the standing cliff edge, planted a being, one with brilliant golden locks. Black sciera filled the everlasting darkness which yellow irises floated in the sea of abyss, scanning the region, as a form of mechanical optical lenses took form over his yellow orbs. What was seen was that of a black circular twenty point reticle with several smaller circles moving clockwise and counter clockwise. The green forest holding many types of creatures, and a subtle scribbling sound was emitted from the beings hands. A pencil and pad of paper in his hands, recording everything he saw, "Family, Cervidae, name; Odocoileus virginianus, gender; male, approximately seven years in age." "Stalking... or perhaps following a female of its own species?" A tender voice echoed through the air around him, cutting into the still breeze that seemed to dance around him, make his hair dance gently.

Upon finishing up his recording for the day, he stood up, his blue jeans shifting and making a light ruffling sound, his white sleeveless hoodie also doing the same thing. For the fingers that caressed the pencil were surely inhuman like, metallic arms, dark grey in hue. With openings between what could be described as muscle overlapping, once the pad was close and placed on the inside of the hoodie, the being looked towards the East. "My scanners indicate Homo sapiens bio signatures over that forest clearing." "Perhaps a town of other humans, perhaps I can obtain information of this timeline, and where I am exactly." His rather cold, and emotionless voice through the now disrupted flow of air, his peach tone skin glimmering in the light. For there was some morning due from earlier still resting upon it, and once a destination was set, he began walking towards the cliff-edge.  And upon leaping off the side, and falling for a few seconds, his eyes began glowing bright yellow, as his entire socket glew of a yellow aura.

"Initiating scapula propulsion systems, activating flight mode... three... two... one... ignite." And upon the command phrase, the shoulder blade region on his body began shifting for a set of panels opened up and a pair of rocket like boosters appeared. For a sudden burst of energy erupted from the jet systems, as well as two ports in his hands opened up, sending him flying forward. At high speed due to his trajectory angle, but with a simple twist, the being re-corrected his body and was flying at a stable level. His blonde hair flying back, for the he pulled up, his boosters on his shoulders coming out and forcing a flame like energy behind him, making it possible for him to fly forward, and the ones on his hands. Allowing him to stay stable, his flight taking him towards the area which his scanners indicated there would be life. His arms, now where the gaps in the arms all illuminating a bright orange glow, possibly indicating his internal heat.

Soaring through the clouds that littered the skies around him, and birds all flocking about him, his sights now seeing a town up ahead, "Destination locked... activating air to ground landing gear, preparing to land at 29X Y78... location identified... central plaza." And with a quickly jolt of his hands altering his course of flight, the sound of people below was faint but present, a trail of white clouds emitting from behind him. And when he got closer he could see a large building in the distance, "Unknown structure... bio signatures are large in quantities... I will look there for answers." Once over the towns main plaza, the being suddenly dropped down and his hand port emitted a large amount of energy, slowly stopping him and allow him to land gracefully. The sudden landing caused many people to back away from him, all of which where young mothers with their children, the being looking at them all. He could tell they all were somewhat frightened by him, and this wasn't surprising due to what he was.

After looking around, and the large dust cloud finally blew away, his feet shifting towards the large building towards the north part of town. Some insignia was posted upon it's front panels, and this intrigued him, he hadn't seen anything like it since he awoke from his cryogenic slumber. His feet now going into a slight faster pace, and his hand ports allowing him to boost forward, gave him a faster movement speed for he was in low ground flight mode. The sounds of people entering their homes and moving out of his way filled the air of the town, and many people pointing at him. He cared little about it, for he knew of he approached anyone they would surely flee from him, and upon reaching the main building after a few short minutes. The figure with the golden locks landed yet again, his eyes switching between the reticles to his normal yellow irises. "Hmmm... I sense a series of high energy levels inside... strange." Once his words where said, a gentle caress of the handles to the buildings door creaked open, and granted him to enter the building.

Upon entering a elaborate sight  struck his orbs, many tables and various other building like structures, "Extraordinary, such marvelous structural makeup, hmmm... now let me see." His gentle voice echoed through the halls of the large building, "Hello?" "I know someone is here, my scanners indicate organic life is located at this location, come out please." A simple request enveloped the air around the inhuman figure, one who stood at least six foot, and looked almost medium to light in mass, peach hued skin, and spiky golden hair which was shifting as he did. A simple white hoodie over his chest, blue jean like trousers with white sneaker like footwear, metallic neck, and grey arms, with now dark grey canals. All of which where trumped by the black sciera, yellow irises, which now where in the reticle mode, scanning the new environment, as he searched for a single person to speak to. And upon his scanning he saw a single person, a female one by the looks, or a very attractive male, either way, the figure locked onto the male or female and approached them. "You there, are you by chance able to assist me in a certain few matters?" A single request rang from his lips, his eyes, glowing a dull yellow hue, for they where not in their reticle mode yet, over-viewing the being, as it turned out it was a female.

Selenia was a bit startled at the appearance of someone new at the guild hall, and after having taken a scoop of the dessert and licking it clean, enjoying her little indulgence, she wasn’t expecting anyone to show up out of the blue. Dropping her spoon in surprise, but thankfully holding onto the dessert, she turned to face whoever had entered the guild.

Although she didn’t show it, Selenia’s shock greatened at the sight of who, or what, had entered her guild. She’d seen lots of different types of people in her day, but whoever this person was must be special. His skin and eyes seemed such a stark contrast in the setting of the guild, and she really hadn’t expected it. Taking a second to collect her thoughts, she decided she might as well do what she could to help, and resolved herself to smile, setting her dessert on the counter, seeing as there was now a visitor to the guild.

“Well, hello. My name is Selenia Cael, and I’m the Guild Master of Fairy Tail. What’s your name, and what can I help you with?” she asked, trying to seem friendly as she walked over to and sat down at a table and waved him over.

He didn’t seem to want to antagonize the guild, at least, or at any rate she didn’t think he had any ill intent, but if he did she wouldn’t let him get away with any mischief he had planned. For now, however, she would try to be a good host and welcome him as best she could, and assume that he was simply lost or something, or that perhaps he wanted to join the guild. As to his motives, Selenia had no idea, but she was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt until he proved otherwise.

Dessert forgotten for now, Selenia ordered over some water and some food from a waitress in the guild, who would come back in a bit with some chicken and mashed potatoes, just in case the guest was hungry. Plue stood on the seat of the bench Selenia sat on, looking up at the visitor with interest, and he seemed to still have his lollipop with him. Although Plue looked like just a companion, he was in fact a Celestial Spirit, and was constantly with Selenia. In fact, although in addition to his cuteness, he was able to detect ill intent, and was quite useful for Selenia to have around.

When the female being began speaking, hearing her recall her name to him, and begin on asking him what he was after claiming her title. "Guild Master... Fairy Tail.... interesting, the name Fairy Tail is not registered in my memory data banks." "But Guild Master is something I am able to recognize, so you run this building?" "Which I presume is this Fairy Tail Guild?" He asked, his voice full of curiosity which was also giving off a cool and calm tone, which strangely enough held no emotion in it. The sound of plates clattering together, and his nostril cavities being filled with once familiar aroma's, some of which would turn the stomachs of most men and give them hunger pains. Though this wasn't the case with the male figure standing in the walkway like carpet, his yellow irises locking onto the female name Selenia Cael. "To be bluntly about this Madame Selenia, I am not from your timeline, in fact I am from the distant past... I was initiated into a Cryogenic Capsule." "This allowed me to stay in a stable molecular comatose induced like sleep, making sure my cellular structure would not age with time."

He said to her, and once he saw the food near him, he kindly waved his hand at the waitress, his metallic arms creaking with the simple movements he gave. The obsidian like colorization around his neck shifted, while the same colored skin like tendons that lined the everlasting darkness shifted with his neck movement. "Now to begin with my usual introduction, you requested my identification, I will be simple and straight forward, I go by Maverick, but my project name is G.E.N.O.S." "I am a Cyborg from the past, as I stated before, to be exact, I hail at least three hundred and fifty nine years from this current timeline." His words, swift, smooth and to the point for the sudden shiftment of energy prompted him to look down, and see a smaller being. His eyes shifting to the twenty point reticle lenses as he observed the small humanoid like being, one with a abstraction in its maws. "Intriguing... no organic lifesignal is emitting from you... wait... you're the unknown anomaly I sensed earlier...begin scanning procedure." And like that his eyes began a diagnostic on the small creature before him, the only thing he could read was a large amount of energy from it.

"You don't belong to anything I have seen in the kingdom of Animalia, perhaps you're a new subspecies?" He murmured to himself, his words echoing through the Fairy Tail Guild Halls, as his hands went into his white sleeveless hoodie and pulled out his notepad, and pencil, as he then began sketching out a exact image of this new creature. Once he was done, he put the pad and pencil away and his scan was complete, quickly his eyes adverted to Selenia, "I do not detect any form of organic nature of him, just pure energy... he is not of this world am I correct?" "Unlike you and I, and that young lady over there, I can detect bio signal in the air, while I can also detect foreign energy signals." "He falls under the foreign energy signals." "And to your answers before, I gave you my name, but you asked what do I require here, simple; information." "I need as much information about this current time frame which I have awoken into, the land I am in, the towns that make up this land." "Organizations, and anything that the common individual like you and I sure be acquainted with. And like that Maverick took a seat, crossing his right leg over his left one, and looking at Selenia, as he awaited her answers, his golden spiky locks danced in his eyes, which were still in their reticle state, for he was still analyzing everything around, for this was his way of recording important information.

"Oh, I guess you don't know. This is a Celestial Spirit. His name is Plue... well, it's technically actually Nikora, but I call him Plue. He's from the Celestial Spirit World, so I guess you're right about him not being from this world. His gate is the Canis Minor. As to pure energy... I don't think so," Selenia said, patting Plue on the head. "He lives and breathes just like anyone. He's alive and he feels and speaks and thinks, and he's not an animal. Anyways, as to your question...

"Hmm," Selenia muttered, thinking to herself. How would she respond to a question like this? She might as well start from the beginning, and the most urgent situation that arrived from what he'd missed.

"Well, she began, "you missed a huge war between the Light and Dark Guilds, in which the Light Guilds won, more or less. We had a lot of casualties, so I suppose the one good thing about your confinement in ice was that you weren't around for that. The Magic Council was destroyed along with most of Crocus, and even we here in Magnolia are still rebuilding, but mainly it was a plot by a guild named Animus Sin, I believe, who wanted to take over," she stated, stopping to think.

"Other than that, I don't think that much has changed. The King is still the King. There's been rumors of other Dark Guilds and such. The current legal guilds are obviously this guild, Fairy Tail, as well as Sabertooth in Crocus, and Light Bringer in Rose Garden. There's also some independent guilds, but I don't really know that much about those... I believe their names are Rusted Heart and Dark Air, or something along those lines. Does that help at all? she asks, looking at him. She wanted to know what his story was, and what had happened to him, but it would be rude to ask to blatantly. If he wanted to tell her, he could, and if he didn't she wouldn't push. Perhaps he'd like to join a guild, but she'd just like to help him out if that's all he needed. She could spare some food and drink, after all.

Taking a bite of her chicken and washing it down with some water, she sat and waited intently to see what he wanted to ask or had to say. He was quite interesting; maybe she would learn something from him too.

Listening to the first part about the little creature being called "Plue" but also going by the other name, and it being a "Celestial Being". It was confusing to him, "I think you misunderstand me, if he is a spirit and needs to manifest into this world, a form of energy is forced through a veil." "And my sensor's indicate that energy, this means he is comprised of this energy, so even if he breathes, speaks, and does what most living beings do." "I can't disagree with you on that note, but he is still pure energy in a metaphysical form, a form made of flesh and bone, while this is being held together with the same energy I dictated earlier." Maverick said in a more monotone like voice, his light hearted words echoing through the guild hall, and when hearing about a battle, his eyes began recording again, the circles in his eyes spinning. In clockwise and counter clockwise as there were several rings around his main twenty point reticle, "Battle, I think the outcome would have been different if I was present, I was designed for battle, war, and conflict." "But it seems as some of my main functions are disabled, and I can't fight at my optimal full power."

He said with a rather sadden tone, and then held up his palm, trying to activate his regional map, which only a small spark was able to come forth, making him sigh, though he needed not to, as he had no lungs to emit air from. "Seems as though the satellite in the planet's orbit is not functional, typical, must have fallen during my time in cryosleep state." "Do you by chance know of anyone from those guilds you spoke of, that work on cybernetics, or has a facility that can work on my body." "You see I need to constantly be repaired as I am nothing but biological metal and synthetic parts, one of which is my skin." "I would rather like to keep that repaired, for I highly doubt you would want to see my metallic skeleton, the only human part of me left is my Cerebrum" His words slicing through the air once more, for his index finger tapped his temple, "My brain is graphed with a synthetic electrode net that has pin like inhibitors that not only keep my brain intact, but also allows me to operate my cybernetic body, these inhibitors also have RNA converters allowing for the RNA in my system to be converted to DNA for my brain." More insightful words filling the air around him, as he looked at her, crossing his arms, waiting for her to answer him even after what he just told her.

Deciding to ignore what he's said about Plue, since she wasn't really up for a debate, she just smiled and ate as he spoke, frowning a little when he mentioned his making a difference in the war. Perhaps... After all, the wanderers had been the ones to turn the tide. However, the previous guild master, someone who she'd viewed as the most powerful Mage she knew personally, had been killed by those who'd helped begin the war. Still, Selenia kept her face from showing too much emotion, instead brushing it aside. He couldn't have known how much had been lost, and in any case, she would've welcomed someone like him, who had nothing to lose, to fight for them.

"Let me think," Selenia said, looking up. "Well, there's Sabertooth, but I don't think they fit the bill. Same goes for Light Bringer. Dark Guilds wouldn't do - they're not trustworthy whatsoever, take my word for it. They'd as soon as take you apart and sell you for scrap as fix you. I guess that leaves the independent guilds... I doubt the pirate guild would be of much help, and then there's the other one. What was it called?" Selenia asked aloud, mostly speaking to herself.

"Ah, of course. Rusty Hearts. Now then, I don't know if - wait, no, that's right. There's apparently a Take Over Mage in that guild that I've heard about, who uses a particular form of it called Machina Soul. I'm willing to bet that Mage might be able to help you out. Unfortunately, I don't have much information about the guild or who the particular Mage is, but I believe their last known locations was..." Selenia mumbles, trailing off.

"Puu-puun!" Plue says, doing a little dance of charades.

"That's right, Plue! Thank you," Selenia said, kissing him on the head before turning to her guest. "You'll find the guild in a tavern in Clover Town. I hope that's helpful," she finishes.

Whatever he'd said about his biological aspects completely went over her head. She was a Mage, not a scientist. Her main field of knowledge was in space and astronomy due to her magic types, but otherwise she was pretty clues when it came to biology. Still, she pretend to know what he was talking about, just hoping she might be able to help. Plue sat back down next to her, continuing to eat the lollipop after he'd helped Selenia remember where Rusty Hearts was located. The little Spirit was proud of himself; he was always with Selenia, so he'd noticed the picture of the guild when she'd been back in her office doing guild master paperwork.

"Rusty Heart's... hmmm... very well I thank you for that information." "But as stated before the satellite that operated my global mapping systems is nonoperational, I would like it if I had a map of the region." "That way I can refer to it like so, and no be wandering around, and forgive me about before, my sensor's picked up distress when I mentioned war." He said quickly before looking at "Plue", and crossing his arms trying to understand how it was she was able to understand him, to Maverick, it was merely jumbled words. "I fail to identify the ability to decipher his language, how is it you are able to understand him?" "Perhaps a spiritual bond between you two?" Words of confusion filling the air now, for this altered his voice to a more curious one, and one that sounded more human like and not robotic. As his golden hair shifted with his neck tilting and leaning down towards the little white hues being, his yellow irises locking onto the being with the lollipop. "Must be nice to taste sugar, unlike you little one, I have no taste buds or even a stomach for that matter." "I can't enjoy your little treat."

And with his words revealing why he didn't eat before, Maverick looked back up at Selenia, a slight sigh emitting from his throat, as he gave her a rather uneasy look. "The one thing that I do miss about being human, was able to experience food, I will say this though." "I don't regret going into the Cybernetics program, I did this to protect the people I cared for back in my past." "Even the girl I thought loved me, but once seeing me, she had other thoughts." "Anyways, I will take that map if you have one, and be heading off to the Rusty Heart's guild hall." "I will tell them you sent me towards them." More requests slashing and cleaving through the air, for his tone changed from curious to sadden and then to a singular setting, his monotone form. Maverick was just needing to get a place settled down, so he could begin on his upgrades, and try to become stronger, for being the way he was; Maverick was not a person who like being incomplete.

"Oh, sure," Selenia said, waving over a guild member and telling them to grab a map. After a few seconds, they returned, setting the map on the table.

"Thank you," the guild master said, flashing a smile before turning back to the guest, pushing the map towards him. "Here you go," she said. "We're here, in Magnolia," she explained, pointing to the Fairy Tail guild hall on the map. "You can take the train all the way from here to Clover if you'd like. The train station is a few blocks away, just east of here. Take the train north and you'll be there in no time, or you can always walk if you'd like," Selenia added.

"And no, it's fine, don't worry about it. As to Plue, it's nothing like that. I've just been with Plue for a while so... I guess I've begun to understand him. It's nothing solid, but based on his gestures I can kind of tell what he's trying to tell me. Then again, if you consider bonds with others to be special, then yes, it very well is. I can't imagine my life without the Celestial Spirits..."

"I'm very sorry to hear that," she whispered, her usual smile disappearing for a moment as she looked down. "I do hope you find happiness, and if you ever need anything, Fairy Tail's doors are always wide open to help those who need it. I wish you the best of luck on your journey. I'd appreciate that. If you could, would it be too much trouble to ask the guild master of Rusty Hearts for a meeting? They can send me a message if they'd like to. I'd like to begin an affiliation with them, if they're willing," she said, standing up.

"I guess it's time for you to go, but I hope to see you again, Maverick. It was a pleasure to meet you. Be safe."

Selenia picked up Plue, hugging him to her chest, smiling at the guest. He'd been an unexpected visitor, but nonetheless her day was better off. She hoped he would find what he was looking for at Rusty Hearts, and maybe join a guild eventually, even if it wasn't hers. He seemed like a nice guy, even if he was mostly mechanical. That didn't matter though; what did is what he wanted to do with his life, no matter if it was artificial or organic. She knew he was capable of good, and she hoped that his journey would lead him down the right path.

Listening to Selenia speak about traveling by a train made Maverick chuckle slightly, as he stood up and recorded the map, once done, he generated a holographic one where his previous holotape was at. The center of his palm lighting up, and regraphing the area of the region, his mind now made up, and his eyes shifting to the female guild master. "I'll be sure to relay the request, and travel for me by train isn't needed, I can get there faster than by a locomotive vehicle." "And thank you for your hospitality miss Selenia, I hope to see you around as well." And upon dusting off his legs, and readjusting his hoodie, pulling it over his golden locks of hair, concealing his face, he opened the doors to the Fairy Tail guild hall and exited it. With now gaining the necessary information, and a place to begin he looked up at the sky walked towards the open plaza, now devoid of people to interrupt him.

"Initiating scapula propulsion systems, activating flight mode... three... two... one... ignite." With the roaring sound of his propulsion device activating humming through the air, and blasting him off into the air, the streams of orange yellow flames burning the ground below him and scorching it into a cinder black. Began flying towards the northern sector of the map, for he made sure to have a map in front of him to allow him to fly at a more appropriate pace, and to be sure he was going the right way. His clothes snapping in the air, and his hood slipping off, fluttering behind his head revealing his blonde hued locks to the world around him, for his next stop was to Clover Town, and to find the mage whom dealt with the "Take Over: Mechania Soul Magic", and aid him in becoming stronger.

    [Maverick has left the topic.]
